Oh, I forgot to mention: that 3-mile walk you did around the lake in Fremont is only about 2 blocks away from where I used to live. I hope you said hello to some of the ducks there for me! Cheers, -felix, from Fort Collins

Hi Stacey! Darn, too bad I didn’t know Josh was going to be at the ABS Bouldering National Championships in Boulder a couple of weeks ago… I would have went down to watch and say hello to Josh, Carrie, and Rich! I was even in Boulder about 5 days ago… oh well. Anyhow, I am pleased to see the bronchoscopy went fine and there is no sign of rejection of your lungs. That is great news! And wow, a 5.11a! I climbed at the local gym last weekend for the first time in 2 months and I couldn’t even climb a 5.10 cleanly. It’s pretty sad. I try to tell myself that is because I did 6 easier climbs beforehand and was starting to get tired already. In any case I have no endurance… Speaking of rock climbing and Colorado, attached is a photo of some of the rock at Horsetooth Mountain Park in Fort Collins. I haven’t climbed outdoors yet but supposedly there are many places to do so here, and the weather is currently perfect for it… sun and 60-degree temps for the next couple of weeks. Anyhow, take care Stacey and good luck with everything you have been up to (which is a lot!) Talk to you soon. love, -felix, from Fort Collins

Hi Stacey! I just wanted to wish you a happy Valentine’s and to wish you the best of luck with the newsletter and catching up on classes. Are you recovering from the bronchoscopy okay? Take care and talk to you soon! love, -felix, from Fort Collins

I thought you would like this article, Stacey! It is about Carroll Shelby (a man), who is a legend in the automotive world. Almost two decades ago (I think) he received a heart transplant, and apparently at age 83 he is still going strong. I say this because he was recently seen driving a prototype at 85-130 mph (depending on who you believe) and doing wheelies in front of Ford engineers! http://tinyurl.com/796n6 Take care, Stacey! love, -felix, from Fort Collins

Happy b-day to Ana and Isa! The cake and sushi party sounded yummy. Funny about forgetting your age too, Stacey… that is a good sign! You are only as old as you feel anyhow! Well talk to you soon! -felix, from Fort Collins

Hi again, Stacey! I also managed to fix the “add picture” functionality to your guestbook. So you can post photos again like 2 years ago! 🙂 Here is a photo from Fort Collins. We got our first day of snow today! Happy holidays! love,-felix, from Fort Collins

Hi Stacey! I think that is really wonderful you are doing the ABS bouldering competitions again just as you had told the doctors you would. Not that I had any doubt you would, but is really heartwarming to see you accomplish your goals. Anyhow, have fun at the climbathon this weekend, and let Josh know I’d like to sponsor him. I’ll be sending him something soon. On another note, today I went into the guestbook script and inserted some lines of code that now require one to enter a “security code” shown in an image on the “sign the guestbook” page. Hopefully, this foils the automated spammers… we’ll see. Well, have a wonderful weekend and talk to you soon! -Felix, from Fort Collins

Agreed on how climbing comps bring back memories. E.g., I remember how two years ago at the Cranberry Crank at Planet Granite I got to see you, Corinne, Michele and Sharon. That was a lot of fun. Glad you got to go last weekend to it and wish I could have been there with you! love -felix, from Fort Collins

Hi Stacey! Wow, great job about being able to do 5.11a’s again! That is probably beyond my level now since I have not been climbing. It’s about 5 months since I’ve been in an indoor gym, though I hope to go sometime out here in the next week or so. You would have to take it easy on me if I were to climb with you again. 🙂 Anyhow, cool about there being a lake in Belmont; I never heard of that one before. Well take care out there in CA! love,-felix, from Fort Collins

Hi again Stacey! Oh, you didn’t lose too badly, at least not in the 15-7 game. Just kidding! 15-2 is still a whole lot better than a shutout! If it makes you feel better I have quickly learned that near-professionals are a whole different level than the rest of us, be it cycling, running… or badminton. Reminds me of a time when I used to think I was good at chess. Then a homeless guy in SF (who presumably does this all the time) challenged me to a game of chess right there on the street and I lost to him, within 10 minutes, TWICE. I did not play again for many years after that. 🙂 Anyhow, I am proud of you for even trying! -felix, from Fort Collins
