Hi Stacey, Here’s the playpen pic I told you about. We added the top bar a little while ago, and that slowed her down for about a day. Now she can easily scamper over that as well! Your neice truly takes after you! I love you, Denise, from Riga

Hey Stacey! I got your message, will call you this weekend. I’ve been working nights all week, unpacking my stuff (which showed up Tues), and graphics during the day. Lots to talk about. Seems we have a mutual friend through Hans. Funny how small the climbing world is. Lots of love, carolyn, from BO

HI Stacey, Yes, I think you will win any “double lung tx named stacey” awards. Now that the weather is nice We will have to get together so I can give you (and any of your friends) some swimming help!!(of course you have to find your wet suit…) Mary, from Palo Alto

Note from Mary

You sicko! how can you watch the needle go in!!! I always always always look away until it goes in. I don’t even like seeing the blood come out. Of course, I do donate platelets, but that is totally different! Knowing you, you will break the transplant longevity record just because you like to break records… ๐Ÿ™‚ Mary

Note from Mary

HI stacey, I think it was resting you were doing, not falling, and I certainly didn’t venture on the 5.11s!!! you rock! I hope you had fun with the sheclimbers tonight ๐Ÿ™‚ Mary, from Palo alto

Hi Sis, Sure hope you’re feeling better, and I am looking forward to talking to you in person to get the full doctor’s report. Seems that every time I call you you’re driving somewhere and I hate to distract you when you’re on the road. I’ll call tonight (morning for you) and we’ll try again to catch up. Sophie requested that we post this picture of her with Lacidaci (aka the sacred bear) because everyone should see how handsome and smart he is. We all send love and kisses and hope you are having a better day today! xoxo- Denise, from Riga

Stacey! Second place is great! I was surprised and sorry to hear about your “chronic rejection” (something I suffered from in high school with all my lame attempts to land a boyfriend.) Sorry, couldn’t help it. Sometimes, as you know, you just have to laugh. It sounds like your spirits are up — We’re revving up for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life — we have to walk (or run – ha) for 6 hours. Luckily for me, it’s a RELAY, meaning only one team member has to be doing laps at a time. I spent all Saturday cutting and hauling wood with Chris. Does that count as training? Send me the article! Hi Sis, It was so funny that you asked if Sofi had taken the beloved pink and red soccer ball out to the park yet…. hee hee you Californians! February is NOT spring! Here is a picture from last weekend. Mia’s favorite word is’ball’, and actually she is a bit obsessed. She hugs and kisses her many, many balls (literally). I swear, this girl is all Stacey – I can’t keep her from climbing windowsills and chasing balls. Obviously she did not get this from me. Sophia says hello and how are you today Aunt Stacey? Also she would like to know what your favorite color is, because she is making a picture for you. We love you lots, D, Denise, from Riga

Hey Stacey Just wanted to check in and say hello, and to say โ€œhurrahโ€ for the wonderful annual results! With the winter games on TV, I was thinking about your Ice Skating Birthday party. You are one talented lady . . . but ping pong and track sound like a great choice of sports. :p Take care, and happy day. Spring is coming! Love, cherie, from Oakland

Hi Stacey, We’re just back from a weekend of skiing – actually it was only 1 1/2 hours of skiing in total, but the idea is to get Sophia comfortable with it and have a good time. We rented a cabin with two other families – all the kids were about the same age and they all went skiing together and had ski lessons. Then we went inner-tubing afterwards (I was scared, Sophie was thrilled). Boy were we tired when we got home. Here’s a picture of S with Una, her ski teacher. Love you! Denise, from Riga
